Supermercados Mr. Special

The Mr. Special supermarket network, based in Puerto Rico, was founded by Don Santos Alonso. The story begins in New York, where Alonso opened a grocery store. In 1966, he returned to Puerto Rico and acquired the Mr. Special Discount store in Mayagüez. The company has grown to include 16 stores, a distribution center, and executive offices.
